New Artistic Horizons
Although life has been busier than ever lately, I have (somehow) been managing to find free time and filling it with new artistic ventures. 2011 has brought me a few new obsessions: bellydance and fractals!
As hard as it is to find a bellydance teacher in my area, I lucked out and go to twice weekly classes with a former schoolmate. I've been taking classes for about a year now, and will start taking a camera to classes to get a little photography practice under my belt, as well. Veil-work in particular just lends itself to gorgeous pictures.
And fractals...they appeal to me on so many levels. Math is an art form; I've always loved the way
Life as of Late
I have become too comfortable, too usual, too commonplace.
I'm an everyday, nothing-new habit with a shining past and a present full of deja vu.
Everything here I've seen before, done before.
I want to wake up and do something insane, create something unbelievable, go somewhere impossible.

I'm actually really excited about this project, especially because I don't have the time or brain-strength lately to make new works but just enough to scavenge the meat from the skeletons of ones I've already written.
So, since I still have yet to take pictures of and submit the garb I made for Pennsic and highly doubt I will until next Pennsic rolls around, I will use t
Married!
Eric and I finally got married on August 2nd. The ceremony and reception were small but sweet and everything turned out so wonderfully! We just got back from our honeymoon on Sunday - we went to Pennsic and had a total blast. Testament to the type of person I am: for my honeymoon I wanted to camp out and wear funny clothes for a week
Eric bought me a digital camera and a GORGEOUS silk brocade corset with german steel boning, and I got him like 12 videogames for his various systems.
So I'll be posting up new artworks; there's a category for fiber arts and I made all of our clothes for the trip.
P.S. Married life is the same as befor
